What are the production processes of silicone keypads?

1.Design and development

Pay special attention to the elastic requirements and feel of silicone keys,and determine the conduction method.

2.Prepare ingredients

According to the customer's requirements of silicone key quality,specifications,etc.,to determine the hardness and performance of the rubber material,according to the formula,after refining the rubber,according to the specification and PE film wrapped;At the same time,prepare the external release agent,conductive mode and various fixtures.

3.Silicone high temperature vulcanization molding

The vulcanizing machine used for vulcanizing the silicone button has manual,automatic and vacuum points,the mold is from the upper mold to the lower mold,of course,there are special three-plate molds,during production,the upper mold is opened up,the lower mold is put into the conductive black particle and its slice weighing silica gel,the upper mold is put into the color key(if necessary),when ready,the mold is heated and pressurized vulcanizing.After the vulcanization is completed,the mold is pushed out of the vulcanization machine,the upper mold is opened,and the silicone button product can be taken out.

The key factors to control the silicone button vulcanization molding are:temperature(upper and lower mold temperature),pressure and vulcanization time.

4.Secondary vulcanization of silicone keys

Vulcanized semi-finished keys can be determined according to customer requirements whether secondary vulcanization,the purpose of silicone key secondary vulcanization is to remove the remaining sulfur agent decomposition in the key(there is a pungent odor to a large extent is not the reason for secondary vulcanization),improve the performance of silicone keys.

5.Screen printing/radium carving/glue dropping/embossing process

6.Press the button to remove the edge

The edge is removed by using a punch and its die to wash off the raw edge of the silicone key sheet and become a neat and beautiful finished product,but most of the raw edge of the silicone key is difficult to punch clean,and a lot of manual cutting is required,so the production cost of the silicone key increases.

7.Quality inspection

Quality inspection surface defects,elastic feel,surface character leakage,bottom conduction is uniform and effective and so on.

Silicone key quality inspection includes:vulcanization molding quality control,screen printing,radium carving,drip glue quality control and finished product quality control.

Key vulcanization molding quality control inspection items include:size,elasticity,hardness,stain,color difference and lack of materials,etc.,so as to remove defective products.

The key screen printing process quality inspection is eye-catching:whether the product has double shadow,color paste overflow,unclear font,poor wear resistance and so on.

Key products quality control inspection items:printed matter,no need to print products,have been blanked and other full inspection,detected a variety of defective products after packaging.
